Fantastic Headlines 15 and 16

Often fantastic headlines are about macabre stories. This is because the more outlandish the story, the more sensational the headline can become. It’s important to make the distinction: this story is in no way amusing (and indeed judging from the article is probably untrue) but the headline is wonderful:

Escaped crocodile may have caused Congo plane crash

Our second fantastic headline is a classic case of the school of thought that demands you put every single bit of the story into the headline, no matter how surreal. You don’t necessarily have to read on, because all the salient details are in the headline, but that headline just implores you to read the story:

Parachuting Santa who lost a leg in stunt fathers twins with his nurse
